Good Morning, Quilters!
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Statistics show that 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime…that means that 1250 of The Inbox Jaunt’s 10,000 followers will face breast cancer!
The best way to fight breast cancer is to have a plan that helps you detect breast cancer in its early stages.

Thank you and Sulky for bringing our attention to early detection of breast cancer. We also need to make people aware of the possibility that MEN may also be afflicted with breast cancer. Jan M

So pretty in pink! I’m a 1.5 year survivor. My cancer was caught in my annual screening. We may have come a long way baby, but treatment still has a long way to go.

My daughter in law is a 15 year survivor. She is Pretty in Pink, always.

Thank you for providing the links. I did the Risk Assessment and found that my risk is only 1.3%, so I’m glad for that. I will be sending this post to my female friends and hope it helps educate them about breast cancer. I appreciate all these causes (exercise and health education) you provide for your quilting followers. Always Stay Pretty in Pink.

My girlfriend had breast cancer and she beat it, still going strong 12 years later, yes! It can be beaten!

Early detection is key. Don’t be afraid to get checked out. Be brave and do it anyway. It really doesn’t take long, nor hurt, just uncomfortable for a little bit.
Sandra
I lost my sister to breast cancer six years ago. Please don’t miss your annual exam, mammogram and get tested for the brac analysis gene if you have a family history of breast cancer. Fight for your life!
Barb Ellis
Thanks for your support to breast cancer awareness. It is important for us to have our yearly exam. I have lost a few friends due to breast cancer and a few who have had mastectomies and saved their lives. This year they found a lump in my breast and lucky for me it was nothing but if it had been cancer I would of caught it early. We all need to take care of ourselves and get our mammograms. Thank you, Lori.

Pretty in Pink. What a wonderful happy color. Take time to take your mammograms. Follow-up. And be true to you.

My mother was a 25 year breast cancer survivor!! She died from a massive brain stem stroke resulting from a history of high blood pressure at 83 years old. Breast cancer is a curable disease. But we ladies must also work to prevent stroke, heart disease and diabetes! Lose those fat quarters the best place to get started!!

1 In 8! When you have dense breasts insurance companies (or at least mine) won’t pay for the recommended digital screening.
