The Eagle-Free Motion Quilting

July 4, 2014

 INDEPENDENCE DAY

The Eagle-Free Motion Quilting

Happy Fourth of July!  One of my favorite holidays.

The Eagle-Free Motion Quilting

The day would not be complete without Ray Charles singing America, The Beautiful

The Eagle-Free Motion Quilting

The Eagle (20″ square) was stitched on Robert Kaufman “Riviera” Kona cotton with Aurifil cotton 50 wt in the bobbin and Sulky Rayon on top on my Bernina 820 without a stitch regulator.

The Eagle is part of The Patriot Series:  USA and Flag, Anchor and Star -yesterday…

Wishing YOU all the joys and blessings of this summer holiday,

Lori

Is it just my computer, as I’m wondering why the June calendar is still being shown on the right side of the blog. Oh, BTW, Happy July 4th; I celebrated a great Canada Day, July 1st, earlier this week. Have fun y’all.

I’m wondering if you have a pattern for these patriotic blocks, or if they are wholecloth? I would love to have the pattern at least the outline,.

Hi Doreen, I was planning on turning these into a pattern for sale…which ones are you most interested?

They are all beautiful! I make quilts for our servicemen. And thought these would make a beautiful one. If I had to choose I’d pick the eagle.
