Machine Quilting 1-2-3, Lori Kennedy

Good Morning, Quilters!

A few days ago, as I was walking back from my mailbox and absentmindedly thumbing the pages of a quilt catalog…

This is what I found…

As all of YOU know…I spent much of 2016 stitching tutorials and working with the fabulous editors at Martingale writing, re-writing, proofing and editing my first book…

But I had not seen the official photos!  THE PHOTOS ARE FABULOUS!

Needless to say I was thrilled!!!!

THE BOOK

Our book has a title:   Free-Motion Machine Quilting 1-2-3 and we have an ISBN number!

It will be available March, 2017 and is being advertised in Martingale’s Wholesale catalog right now.  (Stores should order NOW–it is sure to sell out quickly, right folks?)

I can’t tell you how excited I am!

And it would never have happened without YOU, Gentle Reader!!!!

In a week where we recount all we are thankful for…

This is one of many!

What about YOU?  What are YOU thankful for?

We’d LOVE to hear!

You could knock me down with a (FMQ) feather!

Congrats and a champagne toast to thee! Has the grin left your face yet? It’ll probably stay there all day.
BTW, those feathers are marvellous … they look bejewelled.

  • ‘Bout time Mrs. Kennedy! Great work–we want first run, autographed copies! Here’s to 2017! XXO KEK

Yes KEK is so rightLori, AUTOGRAPHED copies of the First Runs for us.

Remember when you first began your blog? Many have been with you from the beginning learning as you so generously shared all you knew, especially how to tweak a pattern just so making us “feel” that we could do that difficult pattern after all. And, we have tried, & tried again, until AhHa so that is how it is done. Lori, with your open heart, you have allowed so many of us to become better quilters, & designers by buoying our confidence. Congratulations to a teacher who so many think of as a friend & mentor who through perseverance & talent from God is achieving the acclaim so rightfully deserved. Thank You ever so much.

  • Great news and I will be on alert to pick this one up. Your tutes are such a blessing to a novice like me and it has turned me into a motif quilter, for better or worse. I practice when each new inspiration comes along, if not on fabric , just by doing the movements with my hand. You are the “greatest”.

  • Marta

I have received a “newsletter” from Martingale in my email for few years. Just 2-3 days ago as I looked thru their new offerings, I was wondering, “When are they going to announce Lori’s book?” YAY YAY ! It is really underway to this stage! Be still my heart ! Ya know, waiting is just as hard as an adult as when a child, I think. Now your work will be in our hands…and it will be a great JOY ! Thank you so much. Those cut out feathers are incredible.

  • Huge congratulations Lori, this is beyond exciting for you! I will ask our store owner to preorder!
