Hi I’m new to your blog so I have a question I’m sure you’ve been asked hundreds of times – what do you use to mark your quilts, nothing I use seems to be much good. I live in the UK but often order from USA on line. I’m so impressed with your blog, it is so inspiring, I really want to try some of the quilting you show, just got to get my UFOs done. i’ve almost finished a Union Jack (British Flag) quilt for my soldier son to give to him when he returns from Afghanistan next month and I’ve also started a Stars and Stripes quilt for his girlfriend who is in the USAF, she doesn’t get back from Afghanistan until May so I have a bit longer to do that. Maybe I’ll use some of your quilting ideas on that one. I know I can’t enter the draw for the freebie but thanks for the inspiration.

I love your quilt notebook idea. I have found 6 quilt UFOs. I have started free motion quilting one and am half done, Another I have taken apart because I just didn’t like it. A third, I didn’t like the color way after I laid it out so am planning on using the blocks in a different way. The 4th is a small quilt that just needs quilting and binding. And the 5th and 6th are charity quilts made from scraps, one needs quilting and binding and the other needs a border and quilting and binding. Thanks for the quilt notebook idea. I live in Ohio. It’s been very cold for a very long time. I have at least a dozen tops that I’ve uncovered so far that need to be quilted. There are 5 small wallhangings that need labels on them and 8 new quilts that have been started and put aside for whatever reason. The good news is they’re all in one basket now! lol I never have to look far for something to do. Thanks for the chance to win those stencils!

I live full time in our 34′ RV, currently in Florida! I have 2 UFOs, one of which is one my mother started in the 50s and never finished before she died in the early 80s. It’s an all hexi quilt, done totally by hand. I can’t wait to finish it! Currently working on the other UFO, my first lap quilt after learning to quilt last year. You can’t have too many UFOs in an RV because of space limitations and I really need to work on reducing my stash!!

OK…hit somethng and my comment “went somewhere” so if it has showed up somewhere here I apologize!! The short version is I have 16 UFO’s and PHD’S if you count the bundled kits I bought the last few years. I’ve counted up in my head since I’m gone from my home at Sundance WY for part of the winter and am in New Port Richey FL. Going through all my fabric in my head counting projects I’m really itching to get home. These stencils are a bit hard to find…I’ve looked at home and out here so I’m excited for the giveaway…thanks Lori! I’m feeling lucky too as checked out Bonnie Hunters blog after so many suggested her idea’s last Friday for scraps and she was having a giveaway too! A book called Pieced Hexie’s Deux….I won one!!!!! I’m from Maine. I have 2 quilt tops that have been stuck to my design wall since 2011. Plus 2 that have the quilt sandwich made and 1 that is 3/4 pieced. And that doesn’t include the 5 quilts whose pieces have been cut out but not put together. I hadn’t realized how many I had until you asked.
