A beauty; perhaps this is The Peace Rose?

This is a perfect photo, speaking for the rose as it does, and with the rose offering us her uplifting beauty. Moving. My favorite rose color too. This is the second time in a week I’ve seen this rose. The other is in”Mi Amour”, by Margarete Heinisch, who appliqued these roses for her Rose of Sharon block in her Baltimore quilt.

Beautiful – is this a Peace rose?

Your Sunday photos are a nice reminder that at least once a week we need to sit back, relax and enjoy that which is around us. We scurry through life and sometimes miss the beauty of nature. We need to take a walk and make sure we “smell the roses”.

Hmmmm. Can almost smell this lovely rose!

  • Such a lovely fragrance. Peace? Chicago Peace?

Beautiful! I’m always trying to take the “perfect” picture of a rose, but can never capture the photo. Lori you captured it perfectly.

  • It does look like a Chicago Peace – one of our grandmother’s favorites and her name was Rose…but I have never had any luck with keeping that rose alive. It is beautiful and probably very fragrant- I can smell it from here. Your photography captures it’s beauty! Thank you and Happy Summer.
