Good Morning, Quilters!
For only the third time in two years, I am not prepared for today’s Tuesday Tutorial…
The weather in Minnesota has been too beautiful to be inside.
Please accept my apologies…
The motif above is a sneak preview of next week’s Tuesday Tutorial.
Your regularly schedule program will resume tomorrow.
Hope the sun is shining wherever YOU are today,
Lori

This is a stunning and excellently done quilting piece. Thank you for sharing it! It’s wonderful. I appreciate your precise instructions and genuine encouragement.
Your lastest article in AQ magazine was inspiring and written with concise wording, and clear photos.
Take what time you need, your posts are worth waiting for,
Ana Perna
the sun is shining here in Spain too!!! Just like YOUR good morning quilters sun!!
Have a great day!

Greetings from Wilmington, Delaware, where the temps are in the 80s and the humidity is low – much nicer here than the typical mid-Atlantic summer. Methinks that Mother Nature is trying to make up for all of those 90-100 degree days last summer and the gazillion snowstorms last winter. So let’s all get outside and enjoy the gift of good weather while it lasts! We will tune in to ‘tute time next Tuesday, no worries!

The way I see it, this is the tutorial… Go outside and get inspired so when you’re at the sewing machine, you can let that inspiration flow onto the fabric! Have fun out there!

Please, Lori, enjoy your beautiful sunny Summer! We always are waiting for your blog actualizations, but you are forgiven today 😉

Nothing original to say after reading all the other comments…other than I wholeheartedly agree…you give so much to each of us how could we possibly resent you taking a tuesday off…and you really didn’t take it off completely….you posted something…and it has surely piqued my curiosity about next Tuesday’s tute…love that sun motif…looking forward to it…and the way time has been flying by me it’ll seem like only a day or two! Blessings…Lori…I appreciate you so much.

Enjoy, no apologies needed. I don’t know how you keep up. Weather in Missouri is lovely for July, not very hot and low humidity. Getting ready for the State Fair.

You don’t need to apologize, summer is too short not to enjoy getting outside. Enjoy all the nice days without any quilt plus that all lot us are out there enjoying the nice summer days as we haven’t had too many so far this summer.

It has been too hot for too long not to take advantage of beautiful weather. Truly, few of us readers could be as faithful to anything as you have been to your blog. I enjoy knowing that you are human, too. LOL

Oh Lori, enjoy the weather!!!! I lived in Minnesota for 10 years, and I KNOW how precious those days are! See you next week!!!

I hope you enjoy the time off. I just want you to know how much I appreciate your work. I am a new quilter and really wanted to be able to quilt my own projects. I despaired of ever making anything look pretty. Then I found your blog and practiced the motifs and find that I can actually make things that look good. So thank you very much!

So glad you are being good to yourself, Lori, especially since you do so much for all of us. I look forward to the next tutorial!

This is super duper cute, Lori!
Well, I think you should just enjoy the days that are great outside because there will be plenty later that will keep you in.
Fresh air is good for you <3

The sun is shining in the UK as well. I don’t blame you for stepping out. I look forward to seeing what you have to offer this week Lori. Happy stitching.

Me too. Finally got into the garden to weed – it was so hot an muggy didn’t keep up. This is not our usual Minnesota summer. but the last few days have been a joy.

Glad you take a break. Enjoy that wonderful and rare weather.

Enjoy because before we all know it the white stuff will be flying and we’ll be forced to be inside. I’m outside as much as possible this beautiful summer and I make no apologies to anyone. 🙂

Sometimes the best inspiration days are the ones spent outside of the sewing room. Enjoy!!

Life is a gift and you should unwrap it and enjoy it everyday. Sometimes you need to feed your soul in different ways, this is a good thing. Thanks for all you share.

Have a great day outside. It’s beautiful here in Kentucky too. I’ve been outside since 7:00 a.m. and plan to play golf in a little while. Days like this are a gift to be enjoyed.
Ramona
Sun shining and not a cloud in the sky here in KY with 64 degrees this a.m and a slight breeze. I love sitting on the porch and enjoying days like these. Not today though. Trying to finish a quilt for the fair tomorrow but I’m sure I’ll take a porch break at some point. Maybe to hand stitch the binding. You should take more days to enjoy the outdoors and beauty the Lord has given us. Gives us motivation, inspiration and new vigor. You go girl!! Enjoy!

Summer is short and this summer in Ohio has been great, so if your neck of the woods is beautiful I say go enjoy!! Thanks for teaching many new ways to machine quilt. I can’t remember how I found your blog but I have thoroughly enjoyed your post.
Kris Leaman
It’s been beautiful in North Iowa, too. There are way too many days that keep us inside. Thank you for all you do.

Have a great day, Lori! We have a slight “cool” front in Texas. Instead of 100+ we are cloudy in the 90+ LOL I will be binding 2 quilts for charity today. I do so enjoy your posts. Keep up the good work.

You’re awesome. 🙂

Glad you have good weather to enjoy. It’s beautiful here too. It’s nice to think that
I’ll use the “extra” week to catch up on practicing other tutorials I’ve not done yet, but, most likely I’ll be enjoying the outdoors as well.

After the winter you had last year, go play in the sunshine! You have to stock up on that vitamin C you know! I like Ness’s comment and I’ll be watching reruns LOL
LaNan Eldridge
Enjoy the days..absolutely beautiful and we know too well that winter will come sooner than we want!
Judy
Sunshine and summer days are meant to be enjoyed!! NO need to apologize
Marjorie henwood

I say, not to worry. You do post lots of information. You should give yourself one off a week anyway.
Ness
Glad you are getting out!! Our winters are too long not to enjoy the warm weather. 🙂 I have been busy playing with Charlie anyhow…so fun!!! Have lots of time too since the hail took out my garden and flowers…I don’t mind…just gave me more Charlie time. 🙂
Ness
ps: we will just watch reruns til you are back….LOL!
Roxanne
I don’t blame you a bit. I am sitting here at the lake for a weeks vacation and my machine is set up but being sorely neglected!
Jeanette
Best tutorial…… take time for yourself! We all need to remember that. 🙂
Vickie Morgan
I agree! Enjoy the nice days. It’s not as if any of us have ever done that. 😀
Shelor
Don’t blame you! We are having a couple of fantastic days ourselves!
Kerri Robinson
Enjoy your day! It’s beautiful in Kansas too….and it’s fair time, no sewing for me today either!
Phyllis
No need to apologize! My patio and swing are calling me too. I’m thinking of taking my hand work outside and sitting on the swing and enjoying the beautiful weather! Have a good time and enjoy!

Sometime the soul just needs to step outside and enjoy the days that God has given us.
