Good Morning, Quilters!
I am taking some time off from blogging to care for my Mom.
While you will not receive any emails from me, The Inbox Jaunt will still be “open”. All of the tutorials and posts will be available. Look for us to return in early September.
Please keep Dorothy in your thoughts and prayers as you quilt. I know she will feel your warmth!
Lori

I have a photo of my mother like that of your Mom, when she is all dressed up and looking so glamourous. These moms of ours were amazing women in their day, and I am glad you are there to take care of her. My mom is 90 years old, and I hope I can be as good daughter for her when it’s her turn to need me. Thanks to you–we’ll miss you, but appreciate what you are doing for your elegant, lovely Mother.

Your priorities are so right . God bless both you and your mom as you spend these days together. My mom passed thirteen years ago and I still think of her and miss her everyday. Mothers are the most precious people .

May the Lord give you peace and strength during this time. I pray his glory surrounds all of you. I lost my Mom 4 years ago and her name was Dorothy but known to most as Dottie. I still miss her very very much. She accepted Christ into her heart with me during that time. How precious that was. Sweet tender love at moments like these. Will be thinking of all of you and praying too. Take care and God Bless to you all….Many hugs….Claudia

Praying for you and your mom. Being a caregiver is tough work — be sure to take care of yourself. I’m sure your mom is thankful in many ways for the blessing you are to her!

Yes Mrs Lori, take care of your mom. I lost mine on Jan 7th of this year. She was 96 yrs old. I miss her so much. She worked as a seamstress in the factory’s in New York for many years. Her machine was a metal singer machine that you could hear in all the house. What power! I loved to see her sew. She had to bring clothes home to sew from the factory. It was tough times, but I had great memories. Good luck and may the Lord add many years of healthy years to your mom and you.

Your Mom looks like a picture I have of my Mom and her name was Dorothy. I too quilt my job to be with her. I asked her if there was anything that she needed to tell me or anything she wanted to do. She asked me to say the Rosary with her. I’m not Catholic but my cousin taught it to me when I was about 7 and never forgot it. So I dug into her drawer and found two, one for her hands and one in mine. I started out and was so surprised that she was praying with me – in POLISH. This still brings tears to my eyes as she died the very next day. Just stay close.
