  • I love dragonflies mixed with flowers as well as varied sizes of stars. Thanks for sharing your wonderful tutorials with us.

  • Carla Millares

My favorite motif is pebbles, bubbles and marbles — circles! I would like to see corner designs and coordinating borders.

  • I love to quilt free motion feathers. I have found that I dislike quilting over stenciled or predrawn designs. The free motion saves me time.

  • Quilting Tangent

Nature inspired – falling, blowing leaves. Your designs look wonderful.

  • flowers; floral; please choose me!! Roxanna

  • jennigma

Favorite? I’m not sure that’s possible. 🙂 Thanks for all your wonderful tutorials!

  • I really enjoy the quilting motifs that animals like the turtle you showed

  • Juanita

My favorite motifs are hearts and swirls. TY for your great tutorials and for holding this giveaway.

  • Anastasia

How about a variety of trees 🙂

  • Donna Sofokles

I hope it is my lucky day! I love to quilt anything curvy – feathers, circles, swirls. The smooth motion just relaxes my soul. I’m not good at “stones” so maybe a tutorial on that?

  • Pick me! I am sitting at Leo’s in Stillwater having lunch! Lol!

  • lavonne

I like the mixed texture motifs – like when you did the small and big flowers. I do more modern quilts so the motifs matter and show –

  • I love natural elements, like leaves, suns, flowers. Lori, I have copied your apple design but would love to see more of your ideas for birds………..tx, donna

  • I love all FMQ but my favorite are feathers! I would love to win this magazine – but will check it out regardless since I’m ALWAYS looking for info on FMQ. Blessings!

  • Linda Levy

    Some asian inspired motifs

  • bobbie

Gee, I have to chose? Well, I like all different kinds of swirls and squiggles. I’d like to see seashells, seaweed, and seahorses.

  • Amy Roth

Favorite motifs? FEATHERS! I LOVE quilting feathers, doodling feathers, and I recently finished a quilt with lots of feathers appliqued (Hand-appliqued, mind you, — I love hand work!) on the top! What would I like to see? Well, more feathers, of course, but more masculine designs, too. I can find plenty of feminine designs, but it’s harder to find something to quilt on a guy’s quilt or on a quilt for a couple.

  • billiemick

You already have this answer, but I too would love some designs for HST and FGeese. These seem to show up in most of my patterns….Thanks

  • I really like the Shamrock motif!

  • Karen

I am having a great time, when it is time to machine quilt Lori is my favorite place to go for inspiration. Then I can happily quilt with a thought , instead of struggling to chose a direction. My thanks to you!

  • Last time you asked for our favorite of your motifs, and then you said yours was the greek key. You inspired me to try it and since then I have put it onto 3 projects. I love it! But now, I would like ideas for quilting in pieced blocks–especially star blocks which I seem to have a lot of right now. Love your work. Thank you so much.

  • LINDA

HI,I love all Scrolls and I love the red apple posted on your Blog!
    Thanks for sharing!

  • farmquilter

Favorite motif??? Wow, that’s hard!! I love feathers, straight lines, swirls and pebbles and I’m always doodling to find a pattern I have never seen before. I gravitate towards hyper custom quilting for all of my quilts, no matter how busy they are and how little the quilting actually shows!! I like to combine modern quilting and traditional quilting patters.

  • Brenda Rithmire, Huntsville, AL

Your article was great, love your tutorial’s. Flowers/leaves are great, hope to conquer feathers someday.

  • Cathie Thunell

I am excited to try your new dizzy daisies! It’s adorable! I love all of the designs but this one just makes me happy!

  • Peggy O'Connor

I like flower motifs. I like the specialty motifs you share like the spool of thread and shamrocks. Thanks for the chance to win!!!

  • I like modern or fun looking all over flower designs!

  • I enjoy blog so much. Would love to have the magazine.

  • Susan

I like all of your FMQ designs. One of my favorites is the Picket Fence. Something that I have not seen before that would interest me are musical symbols done in FMQ. I woudl also like to see other animal done with FMQ.

  • Karen Burchfield

I love your blog – free motion tutorials and such inspiration. Loving your paisley design right now. Would like to see more on how to use designs in larg (er) areas on a quilt. And, how to choose quilting designs for a quilt.

  • Lynne Stuart

I am a new reader of your blog and just love it, I look forward to my email every day. The pictures and instructions inspire me to new things so as of today I have no favorited can I say All Of Them! Lynne

  • Meriul

I am inspired by all your FMQ motifs! Thank you so much for all your creative efforts to bring us so many beautiful ideas. I too want to get better at feathers and different ways to use them, but I also love your dizzy daisies and can’t wait to try it!

  • Karen Martin

I love feathers, but the are always a challenge for me. I make a lot of vintage style quilts, so I am always looking for designs appropriate for those.

  • Aleeda

I love your floral motifs. I’d love to see some corner designs.

  • Diane B.

All your motifs are beautiful. I like the way you combine a “line” with a “design” such as a star or flower. More of those would be great.

  • Celeste Delostrinos

I like anything with spirals. They’re gender-neutral and add so much movement.

  • My favorite motif is a trailing vine with heart-shaped leaves. I try to add it into every quilt, especially baby quilts. It’s my secret message: grow with love!

  • Brenda Powers

One of my favorites is the sweet sunshine and recently I’ve been working on hooky with ribbons. Love that one!

  • Diana Jacobson

I just was brave and quilted the sun pattern on a quilt I am making for a new little girl. It turned out great. Such a forgiving, easy design.

  • I love feathers and would love to be able to free motion them as well as all the other designs you do!

  • Jennifer Leean

I love all your motifs but I would love to see more geometric designs – sometimes it nice to break up the scrolls, feathers, organic designs.

  • Gloria Twiggs

Being from New Orleans, I would like to see the fluer de lis done in free motion quilting.

    • And i have a paris-themed print that would love those and Eiffel towers

  • Louise

I love all of your designs! My favorite and quick is just a an in and out circle. Something I can fill in space with and not have to worry about the size changing because I can’t keep things on the same size.

  • Jackie Clauson

I’m still intimidated by free motion quilting, but really, really want to try your rose pattern. That will definitely be on my list. Right now I’ve got several sandwiches made so I can practice, practice, practice!!!

  • Nancyanne

I love thistles, so I would like to see them in many sizes

  • It hard to pick one design! You have many beautiful designs with easy direction! Thanks for sharing your talent with us!

  • LumaLu

Please excuse my Freddy Moran ‘gush’. After I read the entire post for today, I would like to see a pattern of birds on a wire. Has this been overdone? if you have old ones, please let me know. Thanks!! Love your work and ability to teach in a way that makes sense!

  • Nancy N

You make everything look so easy, and I have been able to make and use a number of your motifs. I would like to see a butterfly or a bird. Thanks Lori

  • I agree with so many responders that all are favs, yet I love the flowers. Easiest flower and variations and the perfect pumpkin have garnered ooh’s and aah’s. Love the leaves especially basic and holly. I love when I hear, “You did that using free motion?”. Thanks for sharing all your expertise and encouragement.

  • I love feathers and stipples. I am now venturing into different patterns thanks to your
jaunt! I love all of the different patterns you have given us. Keep them coming!
