Oh what a beautiful picture. I may have to visit that museum. We are thinking of a family vacation this summer and stopping there would be a great balance to a week of running from one sporting event to another with my family. Thanks for sharing.
I am learning so much, thank-you. I had never heard of Mary Cassatt or indeed learned about any of the wonderful American impressionists until I joined your group. It might sound unpatriotic of me as an Australian praising a international artist on this our special day of the year ‘Australia Day Jan. 26th; but, how can I not comment on such beautiful and inspiring art. What a beautiful moment in time. Look at where they lived. The expression on the child’s face is priceless. “Hurry up Mom, can we play now?”
And that young girl could be my grand mother who was born in 1890!
