Good Morning, Quilters!
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Statistics show that 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime…that means that 1250 of The Inbox Jaunt’s 10,000 followers will face breast cancer!
The best way to fight breast cancer is to have a plan that helps you detect breast cancer in its early stages.

My mother passed away from breast cancer in 1979 at the age of 54. Treatment has come a long way since then, but it still is not always curable. We need to keep fighting to make it a curable disease for all women afflicted with breast cancer.

My son lost his first wife to breast cancer at the age of 34. She knew something was “off” but she was so young they just said it was nothing. Very sad!!! 🙁 You know your body, if you think something is awry then insist on tests until they either clear you or find something. You must be your own advocate!!!

Thank you for your support. My sister in law is a breast cancer survivor.

Thanks for this awareness post. Do something nice for those fighting breast cancer or maybe they are a survivor. They need to be reminded how strong they are and we are here for them. For those who lost their battle let’s do something nice for their family left behind. They still feel the pain. Pretty in pink.

I am friends with several survivors, one as young as 30. But my favorite advocate is DeAngelo Williams who plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Having lost his mother to this terrible disease has spurred him on to become the masculine face of prevention, care and treatment. Plus he is a great father and player too!

Pretty in Pink – I had breast cancer in 1986 – well before all the hype about breast cancer. Ladies, you have no idea how fortunate you are now (if you want to call having breast cancer fortunate) to have all the available support both physical and mental. God bless all of you.
