I do self exams, mammogram every year and then with yearly physical my M.D. does a breast exam. Several years ago I found several lumps in right breast went to doctor and surgery found fatty tissue. Thank the Lord. Remember check your body for you know it better than anyone. I have noticed the breast tissue feels thicker talked to my doctor and we are watching this because you can have breast cancer with no lumps. So watch your breast for any changes.

Pretty in Pink, love your quilt.

Enjoy all the attention to pink during October. My favorite oil/tire store is gleefully giving away pink ink pens this month. If attention and talk ever cured anything, were well on our way to success. And success over cancer would be a good thing.

My mom was a breast cancer survivor; thank goodness it was caught early.

Always get your mammogram. There are no excuses when it comes to letting cancer win in your life.

The numbers for breast cancer are heart stopping. While I don’t enjoy mammograms, I go. I figure that it really is just for a few minutes, and what is a few minutes over a lifetime. Here is to improved treatments, a cure and that we can all be Pretty in Pink.

We are celebrating 9 years of cancer free for my best friend,

Thank for the links and the reminder that something fairly simple can save lives! I lost mother when I was just 26 yrs old. It was so especially sad that she never experienced the joy of a grandchild in her lifetime as I am finding such delight in my grandchildren now..

Pretty in Pink, with prayers for all who are fighting this disease.

I am living proof that one can lick cancer. 6 years and going. So far all is well. Thanks to the annual mammogram for detecting the tumor and also that of my kid sister 6 months later.

A little discomfort is a small price to pay for getting your mammogram! The yearly test have saved my sister, best friend, and so many others!

My daughter has been cancer free now for 6 years after a mammogram found it when she was in her 40’s. So glad she had the pictures taken early on. Every Month is a celebration for me!

Breast Cancer sucks.

Mammograms are my yearly routine. My aunt in her late 70’s was diagnosed with breast cancer and her daughter in her 20’s. My cousin survived but my aunt didn’t. No matter your age get a mammogram!

Pretty in pink. I so miss my mother who left us too soon from breast cancer. She taught me to sew and gave me a love for quilts, garments, and all things related to sewing! I love you, Mom!!! Thanks for your sacrificial love!

My best friend from high school, she is the Godmother to my first born died at age 38. She ignored the ‘egg’ coming out of her breast on the side. Don’t ignore any thing about your body.
Insurance or no insurance, mamma’s should be available to all.
Stay in the Pink!!

Detection is key! I know so many survivors of breast cancer. It can be stopped, but not if you don’t do something to check it isn’t there! No reason to avoid self-exams and mammograms.

Thanks to early detection, I am a survivor. Get those Mammograms ladies. The surgeon said there was no way I would have found my cancer by doing a self exam. Early detection is the key.

Thank you for raising awareness about early detection and supporting funding to provide low cost mammography. Every woman should be able to have routine screening for early detection.
