Good Morning, Quilters!
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Statistics show that 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime…that means that 1250 of The Inbox Jaunt’s 10,000 followers will face breast cancer!
The best way to fight breast cancer is to have a plan that helps you detect breast cancer in its early stages.

I rejoice whenever I meet a breast cancer survivor. Too many women have not survived. My best friend passed from breast cancer at age 39.

Pink is my favorite color…I wear it when I feel down AND when I feel happy. I think we all know someone touched by breast cancer.

Breast cancer is not only a female disease. My dear son in law recently had a mastectomy and is in the middle of chemo treatment right now! BC is not nearly as common in men, but it does happen. No one is exempt! Fight strong in pink and blue!

Thank you for the reminder! Go Pink! Go blue!

Cancer does not discriminate who it chooses and it chooses too many good people.
All the best to the survivors of breast cancer and a long and happy life to all.

I teach a quilting class for less fortunate women at my church. One of them made a pink quilt for her mother, who is a breast cancer survivor. She was so proud of it. We use your doodles for our quilting. If I win, the class will get the thread. Keep up the good work.

Cancer is an awful disease but giving a quilt so that someone can wrap themselves in warmth and love as they fight the disease surely helps.

Too many lives have been lost as a result of breast cancer. Here’s hoping it’s eradicated in the very near future.

I was diagnosed August 31st. They found it via a mammogram–it was in deep toward the center, so it would have had to get very large before a manual exam would have found it. Get your mammograms, everyone! And Pretty in Pink!

I’ve been getting annual screening for many, many years. So grateful my clinic has the newest digital imaging equipment now. One more tool to take away some of the worry. I am a survivor of another type of cancer and from communicating with BC survivors, I believe they had the tougher fight. Much empathy and respect for them. Such a pretty pink clollection … nice that it is a mixture of weights and fiber.

What a terrible disease, but we’ve come a long way toward curing it.
