October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Statistics show that 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime…that means that 1250 of The Inbox Jaunt’s 10,000 followers will face breast cancer!

The best way to fight breast cancer is to have a plan that helps you detect breast cancer in its early stages.

My grandmother and aunt have died from this, but I have a cousin who is a survivor. So don’t hesitate! They’ve come a long way even though there’s a long way still to go. Thank you for putting this important message out there to all women!

If you have any doubts or not, get a second opinion. Go to the best medical center that you can possibly get to. The more experienced the diagnosticians, imaging depts., surgeons and staff, the better.
Don’t be shy about speaking up- be assertive- and have a nurse or friend be your advocate and go with you.

  • I have lost several friends to breast cancer, but also know a few who are survivors. Don’t ignore it, and check yourself, get checked out by a doctor if you’re not sure, and get a mammogram when offered! Too important!

  • Wendy R.

I just lost a friend to breast cancer earlier this month. 🙁 She fought for 3 years.

Don’t be afraid to get tested. The alternative can be horrific. The same for colon cancer. Prevention and early detection are the best weapons in your arsenal! Go pink!

My mother had breast cancer so I fear it every day and I pray that I don’t get it. Thank you for the wake up call to any ladies that read your post that do not get their mammograms.

  • Linda Davidson

I read all of the previous comments. So many of these people have had to fight through this cancer. It is so important to have regular checkups. I not only have a mammogram but also ultrasound every year. Best wishes to all who have fought and won! My pastor (male) recently went through breast cancer, too. God bless!
