That would be pretty to thread paint.

    They look like paper! Beautiful.

Thank you so very much Lori–I have 2 masses of these Poppies in our front garden & the deer ate both–just the blooms.

Beautiful. In my mind I can see it as a paper pieced block.

This is beautiful, it would make a nice paper pieced pattern. Thanks for posting this site, it’s easily the best free-motion site on the web.

So much prettier in person…but so fleeting!

    Dear Lori,
Thanks for sharing so much inspiration and instruction with us, total strangers. Well, maybe now we aren’t strangers.
My husband is 12 days out of open heart surgery which required more days in hospital than expected. Your posts and tutorials kept me from total boredom. I used a drawing app to practice free hand.
    Thank you,
    Patricia

So glad the tutorials were of comfort to you, Patricia–You are in our thoughts and prayers!

Lovely, Lori! I have always love Mary Cassat’s paintings.

Such a lovely color on these poppies. And I agree, they do look like paper. A very gentle, comforting picture. Thank you.

    Mark 4:39
39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
THE PHOTO BRINGS THIS VERSE TO MIND
