I have a children’s book of Bird Calls by Innovative Kids here at the house for the granddaughters. They love it. One of the birds is a Killdeer, I must admit I am not familiar with that bird. When I saw today’s post I had to go find the book and listen to the Killdeer call, and read the bird facts. Here’s the clue given:
“I look like a stone
hidden on the ground
and can fool you
to keep my babies safe.”
