Thank you for this weekly feature. The photo often lends itself to my daily meditation on gratitude. Thanks again Lori.

Methinks with the vegetation swallowing it whole it no longer works for its originally intended purpose? Or was it only ever decorative?

Really such lovely fall colors. In their own way, they’re just as pretty as the hues of Spring and Summer. Each season is a gift. Thank you, Lori, for all the many different ways of inspiration. Nature is always so enlightening.

I love everything about this photo – the strong lines with the curvy and the recurrent spots of orange. Interesting how this photo captures my favorite piecework and quilting designs – in piecework I like designs that combine patchwork’s graphic and linear designs with appliques’ curves. In quilting the combination of curvy and linear is always interesting.
    Happy Fall!

The light coming from the left really makes those heart-shaped leaves pop! Really lovely!
