    Do you think that she is “lost in thought”, or is she listening to the bird while her mind is far away….? The painting speaks of many things.

    This painting intrigued me ! I didn’t know the artist so I went on a search to read all I could find on him. He and 2 brothers were all artists. I wound up on a Pinterest page that was titled Maris’s name..(?) For past hour and half I looked at every image there. An assortment of artists were Pinned. I was surprised at how many sewing images there were, counted about a dozen. But I was even more surprised at how many artists painted pictures of people reading….all age people too. Again, Lori
    has precipitated my learning new things.Thank you..
