Out Like a Lion…

March 9, 2013

Stillwater Bridge, Dense Fog

I don’t remember how winter came in, but it is certainly going out like a lion!

Stillwater Bridge, Dense Fog

In the last few days, we have had 10 inches of snow…

Stillwater Bridge, Dense Fog, Trees

Temperatures below zero…

Stillwater Bridge, Dense Fog, Trees

And dense fog…

Stillwater Bridge, Dense Fog

While there are photo opportunities in this…

Stillwater Bridge, Dense Fog

I can’t wait for Spring!

Your pictures capture the images described in one of my favorite poems by Christina Rossetti, called “A Christmas Carol” – It begins,
    In the bleak mid-winter
    Frosty wind made moan,
    Earth stood hard as iron,
    Water like a stone;
snow had fallen, snow on snow,
    snow on snow,
    In the bleak mid-winter
    long ago.
