One Last Sample…

Machine Quilting, Flowers, Lori KennedyGood Morning, Quilters!

It’s a busy week…

I’m off to Denver tomorrow to  film a second Craftsy video!

This project has been “percolating” in my head since filming my first video in June. (Divide and Conquer:  Creative Quilting)   I submitted a proposal in October and got the “green light” in November.  Since then I’ve been working with the Craftsy editors to tweak the concept of the class, stitch the samples, and write the script.

I’m so excited to be able to share the video version of The Inbox Jaunt–tips, techniques, doodling and so much more!

This sample of Faye’s Flowers was the last sample I stitched…a demo of “what to do” and “what not to do” when stitching….Can you see it in the sample?

Machine Quilting, Flowers, Lori KennedyWhile I’m away, I’ve scheduled plenty of work for YOU!

Tuesday Tutorial:  The Boutonniere

Happy Stitching!

last craftsy tutorial was a winner – can’t wait to see the new one

  • You mean that line? I should be so lucky to make those mistakes HA I’m nowhere near ready for your classes but am working on it 🙂
    Have a great trip!

The class is filled with tips to keep you from making all the mistakes I’ve made…You might want to watch it just to shorten your learning curve!

Great news! Can’t wait to see it. Who is your producer?

P.S. I got scared when I saw “One Last Sample”. Had to immediately open my e-mail to your site. So grateful for the time you take to share with others.

I think I am a Craftsy addict! I look forward to your next class as I love your work. I have purchased some solid fabrics in hopes of getting my own samples made to refer to. It always looks impossible, but you help us make it happen.
    Congratulations on your next class.
Today, it is out to the greenhouse to start my seeds for the gardens. Keeping busy is rewarding.

I guess anyone might make that mistake…at the worst, we should stop, break thread, and start again, being mindful not to stitch ourselves into another bind…thanks for reninding us!

  • Rosemarie

Just a side note: For the past couple of weeks, the photos are showing up a much smaller size than they were previously were. It’s impossible to see what is actually in the picture. I am an iPad user.

Hi Rosemarie, someone else said they are having difficulties too…others are not…I haven’t changed anything and really don’t know how to help you fix this. Any suggestions from anyone else???

    • Nana in AZ

Hi Rosemarie, I also use an IPad and photos are fine.

  • I wish my best looked as good as your mistake. Congrats on the video. Will look for the release.

  • Gerry Casper

Well, I guess I see it, but it’s not a mistake to me. When looking at flowers in nature, one can see many “mistakes”. I’m one who likes a bit of “diversity”. There are too many other really important things to think about, than whether I’ve made a small “mistake”. I love your work, and wish I could be as creative as you. Thank you for all your wonderful help and ideas!!

Your mistake is obvious….and shows us clearly what NOT to do! Not the end of the world kinda mistake….but one to learn from and understand the *whys* of not crossing over previous stitching. LOVE…that you’re doing another class, Lori. My best to you during all your CRAFTSY recordings. ***smiles***

It’s lovely. Even your ‘what not to do’ looks great. Looking forward to seeing your new class.

  • Roxanne

I’m not seeing the mistake, looks pretty darn good to me. Wish mine looked that good! Course I don’t have my glasses on either! Have fun in Denver and fly safe.

  • sillyandrea

Ahhh! I will be in Denver in a month myself. Sadly, not for Craftsy. 😉

I do see the mistake above. Oops? 😀
