One of my favorite painters. Thank you for bringing back those college memories. Love your Silent Sunday’s. Have a great day.
John Singer Sargent is also one of my favorite painters. His ability to capture sunlight and shadows is so realistic that you almost have to do a second look to make sure it’s not a photograph. One of my favorites is his Corfu Lights and Shadows. That painting brings me inner peace. https://www.wikiart.org/en/john-singer-sargent/corfu-lights-and-shadows-1909
I bet you’ve had a lovely week on Sanibel. Hope you had a chance to visit the shell museum.
Have you read The Sargent Women? It profiles four women of the gilded age that Sargent painted, including of course Isabella Stewart Gardner. Since you seem to enjoy his paintings I think you’d enjoy the book.
My fav,,, painting of fabric done so well !! Of course, he is one of the Masters!
Me, after finishing a session of free motion quilting!😊😊😊
