Good Morning, Quilters!
As promised, more from Quilt Market 2015. (Tuesday Tutorials will resume next week.)
First, I’d like to correct a mistake from yesterday. The lion quilt below “Born Free” was stitched by Denise Sargo.
The first four quilts in today’s post were part of an exhibit of prize-winning quilts from The International Quilt Association.
The rest of the quilts (prize-winning quilts without awards) were on display in the various vendor booths.
For each of the photos, I have supplied as much information as I have.
One thing that really impressed me was how much work goes into the planning and set-up of the booths. (And to tear down on Sunday, too!)

ONE MORE THOUGHT
Please take note of how the quilting effects the overall design. Sometimes complex quilting adds a lot to the quilt, but often, like the quilt above, simple is best.
Quilting doesn’t have to be complicated to be BEAUTIFUL! If you’re a beginner, take heart.

These are the best pictures of the Quilt Show that I’ve seen. I loved seeing pictures of the celebrity quilters but this gives me an idea of what I would see if I could attend. Thanks.

What beautiful quilts – not all to my taste some are a bit too ‘twee’ but I can still appreciate the skill involved. If the other 480 odd photo’s feature quilts as beautiful as these then we are in for a treat 🙂 Thank you for sharing as I live the other side of the pond there is very little chance of me getting to see this show in person.

Thank you for your last line that “quilting doesn’t have to be complicated to be beautiful.
I visit fmq blogs whose quilts are really densely quilted. They are exqusitely done and I admire the talent it takes, but they can also be very intimidating. Thank for giving the rest of us inspiration and confidence to quilt our own way. I’ve learned so much from you and have increased the designs I use and I’m perfectly satisfied with them even if they wouldn’t win any awards.

I see a few garments in some of the booths. What role did they play in the displays? Were they illustrations of other ways to use that particular mfg’s fabrics, or were they illustrating embellishment with quilting?
