Minnesota–Land of 10,000 Lakes
The word, Minnesota, comes from an Indian word meaning “sky-tinted water“…
And our license plates boast (without exaggeration): “Land of 10,000 Lakes”.
This is Lily Lake one of the many gorgeous lakes in Stillwater.
It is reminiscent of a Monet painting…
If I were a painter, I just don’t know where I’d begin…
May your Saturday jaunts be filled with painterly visions!

Beautiful photos….my DH & his 2 brothers inherited the family cabin (built in 1937) on Crosslake about 15 yrs ago. Every summer the family goes there for R&R. This year will be Family Reunion time….so many memories! Thanks for the photos.
What a great place for a reunion! There’s always something to do on a lake—and so peaceful!
I lived on Lake Minnetonka during my high school years and college summers. Those years converted me from a New Englander to a Midwesterner–I love the people and the landscape. Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos.
Thanks for the inspiration…gives me some ideas.
An art quilt, I hope–can’t wait to see!
