BERNINA 770 QE

BERNINA 770 QEGood Morning, Quilters!

Please celebrate with me– I have been selected to be a BERNINA Brand Ambassador!

Woo HOO!BERNINA

This has been several months in the making…paperwork, phone calls, planning…

(and here’s where YOU came in…) One of the things BERNINA looked at was how many people follow The Inbox Jaunt– and how engaged they are–and of course–

We got a AAA rating for engaged readership!!

THANK YOU!

Last week I received my new BERNINA 770 QE!

BERNINA 770 QEBut what does it mean?

BERNINA ambassadors get a beautiful new sewing machine  in exchange for providing several educational tools to BERNINA each year like writing for their blog, WeAllSew,  teaching, etc. (Sounds like fun to me!)

BERNINA 770 QEWhile, I’m just learning about all the bells and whistles (I’m actually excited about reading a manual-imagine that!?)…

A few things I love already:  very responsive tension system, the placement of the needle down and presser foot down buttons, I LOVE the thread cutter-it cuts the bobbin thread underneath as well as on top-great for free motion quilting,  and the new 97D Patchwork foot,  Of course it has the same great features found on other BERNINAs-beautiful looking stitch, hands free lift system and more…

BERNINA 770 QEThank you, Deb Engh and all the ladies at Bear Patch Quilting Co., White Bear Lake Minneosta,

Thank you, BERNINA,

AND…

None of this would have happened without YOU-my very engaged readership-so THANK YOU!

In addition to learning my new sewing machine, I’m inspired to clean and reorganize my sewing studio!

Full report (and photos) to follow…

That is a great Bernina chair also. Ergonamic chairs are so important when we sit so much.

  • Karyl

Congratulations! And it looks like you have a comfy new chair too. Thanks for all that you give to us!

  • While I am a Viking enthusiast, I can’t imagine the excitement of becoming an ambassador for the brand of machine YOU love, Bernina. Many, many congratulations to you. I totally get how you could be excited about reading the manual. You have more than served us followers well. You will no doubt serve your new post with that same amount of grace and enthusiasm! Congratulations again!!

  • farmquilter

How fabulous!!! Sure wish you could have input on how the do their instruction manual!!! I bought my Bernina from a friend and have had to learn how to use it from the manual…obviously written by mechanical types, with no rhyme or reason to me on what they call things and how it is organized! I hope their new manual is easier for you!! My MIL bought a 770QE and had to go for lessons to just learn how to turn it on! This will be a wonderful partnership for both of you!!!

  • erinnstrails

That’s awesome, how fun and exciting!! I’m surprised you would even need the manual!!!!

  • Norma v

    You well deserve it!

  • Barbara H

  • Thats wonderful news, Congrats! I LOVE my Bernina, wouldn’t part with it for anything… Their slogan is so true.. Nothing sews like a Bernina.

  • Judy C

WooHoo!! Congratulations!!!! I have a 750 QE too! Love it!! I’ve been haunting your site for weeks while planning a large project. I love the consistency of your weekly agenda & detailed instructions. I’ve learned so much –thank you!

  • HUGE congratulations, Lori! Enjoy the new Bernina and all the fun you’ll have as an Ambassador. 🙂

  • Madame Ambassador,
I am green with envy–your loving sister who always accepts hand-me-downs!! 🙂
You deserve it and will be a wonderful spokesperson!

  • Kay L Ford-Sollimo

Congratulations to you. And, Bernina is lucky to have such an accomplished ambassadoress.

  • Marcia R

Aw shucks, but it’s all you – really! Congrats!

  • I think celebrating around your new machine is a great concept. Interested in watching the exploits of a Bernina Ambassador unfold.

  • Linda Fleming

Congratulations – you’ll have many happy hours with your new machine!
Look forward to seeing what you make.

  • Shelor

    Congratulations! Love my 780!

  • Just interested in knowing if you’ve had any problems with your 780? Was there a steep learning curve? I’ve owned Bernina for 40 years and love them but my new 780 had many problems and after a year of trouble, it went back to the company. I’d like to try again but am “gun shy”. Any advice would be helpful. Thx

  • Rynetta Coetzee

This is sooo great, you deserve it! Enjoy that new machine 🙂

  • super, super, super, congratulations!!!

  • Sue b

Seems like everything is coming together for you and it couldn’t happen to a nicer and more sharing person.

  • kattails

Madame Ambassador….may I just say….. WOO HOO!!!!! The only thing that would have made this post better would be if I had the 770 QE…lol…..and here I am with my trusty little Bernina 1080 that I bought in 1995….she is a little powerhouse/horse…whatever. I quilt on a Husqvarna Sapphire and my Handi-Quilter Avante. I am really happy for you…the recognition is well-deserved. Please just don’t get so famous that you don’t have time for Tuesday tutorials or doodling days. I don’t know what I’d do without my Inbox Jaunt fix nearly each day.

  • Congratulations! Thanks for all that you share with us! You are such an inspiration!

  • Shirley

Great news and well deserved. But, I guess we are now all challenged to clean and reorganize our studio. Ugh on that. I love my older Bernina and if I ever upgrade I’ll never part with it.

  • Katharine J

Congratulations, Lori! I love your view from your sewing room.

  • Linda

Congratulations for the recognition of your talents, it is well deserved! My only hope is that you stay true to your blog and the great tutorials and information you pass on to all of us. As you have a very “generic” blog, which is great for everyone, I would not want to see it turn into a Bernina promotional blog. Bernina is one of my machines but not everyone has them or wants them. Good luck Lori!

  • Meredith Hoistad

    Congratulations!

  • Annemarie van der Walt

Congratulations! I’ve been a fan of Bernina in South Africa since 1974 when my parents gave me the SMALLEST Bernina for my 21st birthdngay. Still working on a Bernina and enjoying your blog!

  • Kathie Weatherford

Congratulations. I have one and am still learning all the bells and whistles. I hope you will be able to give pointers for those that have the 770QE.

  • Sharon

This is wonderful news, Lori, and congratulations! I am the happy and very satisfied owner of a Bernina Quilter’s Edition. It’s a beautiful workhorse that is a joy to use. I’m sure your wonderful teaching skills and talent also played a part in their selection of you!

  • Shelli

Way to go! Can’t wait to see what comes out of this machine and your beautiful imagination! Thank you for all your FMQ designs. I have used several in a quilt I just finished (as in completely done!) and shared several with my quilt buddies. Thanks for encouraging my quilt habit! Well done!

  • Nadine Batoha

Congratulations! You deserve it for teaching us all about free motion quilting designs and all. Love your blog.

  • Wanda Calderwood

Congratulations! I love my Bernina’s. I have two. The Artista 200 and the 780. I do quilting and embroidery and these machines do a wonderful job! Your blog is a great inspiration and I have passed it on to all my quilting friends. Enjoy your new ” baby”. Can’t wait to see what you do with it.

  • Yay!!! So that couldn’t of happened to a better person!!! So excited for you! Oh my gosh on the machine! Table ! Chair! A MACHINE! Land sakes! Amazing! Congrats Lori and you will be great at it! BTW, just got to listen to the podcast! It was great and so is the picture of you on Pats website!

  • Hooray! Now you can teach us new things!!

  • Wow, that looks amazing. Looking forward to your review then it may have to go on my wish list!
