Gone Fishing!

June 30, 2015

Fish Free Motion QuiltingGood Morning, Quilters and Fishermen!

Due to the clement weather and upcoming Fourth of July festivities, I am off on a Jaunt.  (There will be no Tuesday Tutorial today or next Tuesday, July 7th).  There WILL BE lots of other fun posts.

I think you will really enjoy this short video of a young boy’s First CatchFish Free Motion QuiltingHope the fishing’s good wherever YOU are!

Soaking up summer,

Lori

PS.  This little quilt was stitched on my gorgeous BERNINA 770 QE using Sulky 30wt Cotton on top for the fish and 40 wt Rayon for the bubbles and using Aurifil 50 wt cotton in the bobbin.  Warm and Natural batting.

Yay! I can use this one (not that I won’t find uses for the others) cause I have a Ph.d of a fly-fishing theme for my husband and guess what I will be doodling on it? Fishes! Thanks so much, love the blog!

Oh what a great pattern… I have a piece I am doing that fish would be perfect for…. even if mine aren’t as perfect as yours!

Great fish flitting around–it so looks like my daughter suZZZ’s first fish. One would’ve thought she had a stringer full. I will definitely practice to get this perfected as much as I can for an AUGUST surprise birthday.
Lori, Have some well deserved time off. GOD Bless.

Since we live by a lake after retirement, I am always keeping an eye out for “fishy” things to use in house and on porch and deck. I made new striped covesr for porch chairs. These little fishies will be perfect for the chair pillows I plan. A big hit again, Thank you….

I have a question. I have a Bernina 820 that seems to LOVE King Tut thread but gives me error messages of threading when I use other threads. Should I be making adjustment for the other weights of thread?
Mahalo from Maui! We do not have good Bernina support here.

It shouldn’t do that. No adjust meant is required on your part. Maybe you could email customer service at BERNINA
