Holly, Free Motion Quilting, Christmas, TablerunnerI am stitching a few Christmas projects to give as gifts this year.

Holly, Free Motion Quilting, Christmas, Tablerunner

In this small quilt, I used The Holly Leaf tutorial from yesterday and added a handwritten greeting.

Holly, Free Motion Quilting, Christmas, TablerunnerI love cursive handwriting on quilts…read more HERE

Holly, Free Motion Quilting, Christmas, TablerunnerThis is a small quilt…I think it will look great with a small vase of red berries…

Holly, Free Motion Quilting, Christmas, TablerunnerThe countdown to Christmas begins!  (35 days left)

Are you working on any holiday gifts?

I found your blog a few days ago and I really enjoy your posts! Thank you so much for sharing your skills and it gives me incentive to try this on my own!

Your free motion cursive is nicer than my handwriting! What a lovely project.

I love that cursive! It’s beautiful. I am overwhelmed with Christmas projects that need to be completed. I hope 35 days is enough time!

Great job on the cursive. I would need a lot of practice to be brave enough to even try that.

35 days HA HA HA! Tomorrow is my neighbor’s birthday (as a superb cook she’s getting an apron), the next day is my son’s birthday (this is a quilt year for him), and then there’s the 6 turkey themed aprons and potholders for my quilting group that meets on Monday. You guys are WAY ahead of me if you’re worried about Christmas LOL!!!!!!

Have you noticed how the background between the holly leaves looks like a pretty butterfly…now I keep staring at the “butterflies”! This is so pretty…all this fabric and now all I want is a solid piece of green to try this on. !!

Hi Ness, I didn’t notice that until you pointed it out! Kind of like one of the perception tests!

I think the angle of the one picture is what flipped my eye to the “butterflies”…haha! I tried this and just love it…I decorated a cowboy boot appliqued on a tree skirt with this design. Had so much fun I made me a late night “sandwich” and practiced somemore…was great and no calories!! Bonus!!
