How cool that your maiden name is Crawley! And how generous of you to share your fabric. My favorite quote is from the eminently quotable Dame Maggie Smith as Violet: “It’s the job of grandmothers to interfere.”
PS Yes, I am a grandma 😉

I was just reading some of the other comments- I guess there are just so many, many good quotes. I kept saying to myself “oh yes that one too”. I was also remiss in not saying thank you for this wonderful give a way as well as the chance to share our fav quotes.
bobbiesews
My favorite character was the Lady Violet- it’s impossible to find only one but I did like the one about “at my age one must ration one’s excitement, in the final episode there was also too many to count zingers aimed at Dickie’s new daughter in law.(like “I’m a tough nut cracker” to Lady Crawley) Loved that !. And of course when she says back a few seasons that her job as a Grandmother is to interfere. I could go on but you did say one.
Darcey
I’m a woman, Mary. I can be as contrary as I please. Fab quote by the dowager countess. How can you not love her!
