Good Morning, Quilters!
For more than five years, I have been posting here at The Inbox Jaunt and it’s time to say goodbye…
NO!!! I’m not going to stop blogging!
I’m just changing the name!
I’ve been working with a website designer to create a whole new blog, with a new name–Lori Kennedy Quilts–-and an all new look!
I had been planning this for a long time, but just never took the time to do it. After my website was hacked a few weeks ago, I realized it was time!
USER FRIENDLY-MORE ORGANIZED
My primary goal is to make the site more user friendly!
There is A LOT of information here–motifs, tutorials, design tips, product reviews--but it is difficult to access because everything is arranged chronologically-not by topic.
So I’ve been tied to my computer–re-categorizing and organizing everything.
I’m not sure when the new site will go live…
Coming Soon!
What about YOU?
Any re-organization in YOUR life?
Any BIG projects you’d like to share?
Is there something in YOUR life that you’ve been neglecting?
We’d LOVE to hear!
YOUR Excited Blogger,
Lori

So many truisms written here and I ditto them… Love your blog for few years now. My new comment is going to sound critical, but I feel I must mention this. I have new glasses and yet when I looked at the new motif, I thought it said Lou Kennedy. Your name, Lori, is so distinctive and lovely I would hate for anyone to think you had changed your name to Lou instead of the beloved Lori. Jus’ sayin’ ! And so I sign off and go sit in the naughty corner.

Lori your positive attitude changed a disaster into a new exciting venture. I wish you well and look forward to reading our new blog. Now what’s it called…Lori Kennedy Quilts. Yay!

How exciting!! Can’t wait to see the ‘new look’ blog, I love following along! I have had a lot of re-organising recently as I have just moved home!! Nearly straight now! Can’t wait to get into my sewing room to work on some projects!!

Good luck with the new site. I’ve been doing deep cleaning, and some painting. Lots of stuff going to the thrift stores for someone else to manage. S L O W going.

Thank you Lori for all you do. One day I will be able to quilt all my quilts myself, because of how generous you have been with your designs and step by step instructions. Your book is never far from my sewing desk. I love the transition to weekend photos. I’ll stop now before I start gushing. Best of luck on this change to your website.

This is exciting news for you! A lot of work! I’m glad I will still be able to access all of your ‘stuff’, as your blog has always been my ‘go to’ blog for fun, adventure, and learning! I would hate to see it disappear. Good luck on your new endeavor!

Great! Will we need to re-register to get your daily e-mail blog?

Hi Lori, I am glad you’re doing this and get better recognition for your name. I have been following you for awhile and enjoying your post and ideas very much. I love to quilt and all kinds of art stuff and my newest love is Zentangle which goes so perfectly well with machine quilting. I am looking forward to your new site and wish you the best of luck and success with it and not too many headaches !!!

Looking forward to seeing the fruits of your labor. I am sure it will be awesome! The big project in my life is refocusing my vintage sewing machine collection and getting it pared down to 20ish machines from the more than 50 I now have.

Whew, I was already tearing up before I finished your comment that you weren’t really saying goodbye. Thank goodness there is no need for tears. Looking forward to your new blog. You’re my favorite.

I LOVED reading all of the comments here today. Yes, Lori you are an inspiration. You have shared so much of your encouragement and delightful personality as well. I am so glad I found you so many years ago.
Well, most of the time I do not like changes…. but, YIPPEE and I am so happy for your new blog. I think your blog should have your name in it, so this is wonderful.
I wish you all of the best in making this transition, but then you are “technolori” so you will have this all spread out really nice, like a buffet of quilting goodies
I do like many of the questions here. I think they have me covered
New things? grand baby #3 coming soon
As always, I enjoy reading your blog. I learn so much
Ellen
I will miss The Inbox Jaunt–it was unique! But I certainly understand how the new name makes sense.

Great news, but a lot of work for you 😉 I just move from a blogging plateform to another, nothing compare to you, but a lot of work moving the old posts to keep links available, re-organizing, re-labelling… Have fun ;))
Rebecca
I have my own site so I know how much work that is – and mine is younger than yours with much less content! Good luck to you. The new name is great, by the way. Your name has an excellent reputation. I’m glad you are using it!????
Phyllis
I know it’ll be a lot of hard work but well worth it. So exciting for you and will be looking forward to the new site. Think the new Title is spot on!!

Yes I am reorganizing! Will be taking over most of my husband’s pool room/Area 31 as soon as we sell the pool table to make room for my new Gammell long arm!!! I can hardly wait. In the meantime I have to tear out some sheet rock and lay hardwood flooring in a bedroom (which is now laying on the pool room floor) Lots of exciting things going on here.
Becky Shaffer
It sounds like a great idea! Your name alone will attract a lot of followers. It’s going to be a lot of work, but the end results will be worth it. I can’t wait to see it!
mickie mclaughlin
Great news for all…..will your followers automatically be subscribed to this new blog, or will we have to re-subscribe?
Kathleen Ross
Congratulations! I look forward to seeing the new site go live!

Sounds very exciting!!! do I need to signup to keep your email coming? Sorry I am not the computer person many are so my questions may be simple. Just don’t want to lose you.

Congratulations for embarking on the voyage to the next level! I have but one question. I have saved literally every post, so that I can return to them from time to time for great instructions, techniques, etc. Will they still be available after the change? Will we be redirected to the new site if we click on the old posts? If not, I have a lot of work to do before your change goes into effect!
Janice green
Thank heavens! I just joined and have been following and I find your site so interesting, glad that you are staying on!
Sandy R.
Whew, my heart skipped a beat for just a minute, I thought you were going to quit blogging!! I have loved this one for a long time but I know sometimes, change needs to happen. I sure hope you still have the tutorials and all of the great information that you have on this one. Please keep as much as possible, as I know many people and me still need it!! Thanks for all that you have given with your generosity..
Barbara
Congratulations!

Good decision and good name. Congrats on all your success.

I’m looking forward to seeing your new site! What a huge task to organize it. Your instructions have been so helpful with my fmq adventures. I have been organizing my stash for the last couple of days and so it will be much easier to plan future projects. The bins look so good! Hope I can keep them that way.
Kathryn Dahn
How exciting! Can’t wait for the new look.

Lori, I love your blog and was shocked at first, thinking you were stopping. Reading on I am delighted that you are continuing in a new format.a great idea.
I am relatively new to quilting and a real newbie at FMQ, but your wonderful tutorials help me enormously. You are truly generous and I’m sure I’m not alone in being hugely grateful.
Best wishes from the UK.

Wowzer! That is a big deal, so exciting!
KJ
Wow! That is a LOT of work. I’m looking forward to your new site, even though I love the current one.
We are moving from a very large house to a condo in just under a year so have been sorting and cleaning out a lot of stuff. Three garage sales and a bunch of donations last year and at least 3 more garage sales this year. Also, plenty of places to donate around us so we spread the goodies.

Oh Lori, I’m so happy to hear this! Your name should be synonymous with your designs outright. Best wishes for continued success❣️
