In Person Classes

I LOVE teaching in-person classes!

Half-day, full day, and multi-day workshops as well as guild lectures can be tailored to your needs, including your choice of a project and motifs.

Note-For workshops that require overnight travel, a two-day booking is required.  This may include a two-day workshop, or a one-and 1/2 day workshop with a guild presentation.

Guild presentations are also available via Zoom, for groups not interested in workshops.

Half Day Class

The half-day class is a fast-paced introduction to machine quilting. Quilters learn how to set up their machines to create well-balanced stitches. In addition, we practice skills to start quilting with good technique while stitching several basic, versatile motifs.

Full-Day Class

The full-day class includes all of the above basic information and allows more time to practice techniques, test gripping aids, marking tools, and learn a greater variety of motifs.

Multi-Day Classes (1-1/2, 2 and 4 day)

Multi-day classes are very popular as they allow students time to learn fundamental techniques on the first day and then work at a more relaxed pace on subsequent days. The additional time allows more time to practice skills, experiment with thread, delve into quilt design on their own projects and learn many more motifs.

Kits and Class Materials

Kits are required for classes.

Online/Anytime Classes

Available anytime! Craftsy classes are a great way to learn on your schedule! Three classes are currently available:

Divide and Conquer: Creative Quilting for Any Space

Creative Free Motion Techniques: From Doodle to Design

Creating a Quilting Plan: Approaches for Any Quilt

Workshops and Lectures

One of the best ways to learn machine quilting is through classes and workshops-either online or in-person. Classes are designed for all skill levels with an emphasis on developing good quilting habits while learning a variety of motifs.

Check my teaching schedule regularly for updates!

Other Interests

When I’m not quilting or writing, I love to spend time with my six children and 10 grandchildren. If I have any time (or energy) left, I love hiking the trails of Minnesota with my camera searching for birds, animals, wildflowers, mushrooms….

Join me as we put the fun back into quilting! And remember-the only way to ruin a quilt is to not quilt it!
