CongratuLations…it is indeed the best news. We just experienced the arrival of,our 3rd grandchild. What I remember even more sweet than the first child himself was the love and joy as our son & daughter-in-law grew into parents. That was an initial reaction…the change & growth of the grandson soon took first place. I hope you are a car ride away…not a plane ride!

They only live 9 miles away
My parents live 4 miles away and my daughter and SIL go to them once a week now for a visit. So sweet. My parents are so old and they love being great grandparents.

Congrats, Grandma!! I too am looking forward to a similar event. I’ve been making quilts for future grandchildren (that I thought I may never meet), but now with one daughter (and soon two daughters) finally settling down and getting married and wanting families, I may be able to give these quilts to my “little darlings” in person!!
