Alphabet Scramble and AQS Winners

September 3, 2014

Alphabet Free Motion QuiltingGood morning, Class…please take out your notebooks and begin doodling…

Remember, Doodlers are Smarter!

I started doodling the alphabet…

Pretty soon it turned into Chicka Chicka Boom Boom–Does anyone remember this children’s book–it was a favorite at our house!

Alphabet Free Motion Quilting

This little doodle needs a bit more work—before it could be a tutorial, but  I think it could be a fabulous fill pattern…

In the meantime…I hope you are enjoying yesterday’s Perfect Pencil or The Inbox Jaunt, New-Record- Setting, The Dizzy Daisy!

If you are working on any fall projects, you might enjoy: “A” is for Apple–a Free Motion Quilt tutorial

LUCKY WINNERS and MOTIF IDEAS

Thank you to all who entered the drawing last week by supplying ideas for future free motion quilt tutorials.  I made a LONG list and will work through as many as I can doodle…(sorry, cats are still hard for me to doodle, so this may take a while!)

Feathers?  Do you really want feathers?  Aren’t there enough feather tutorials?  I guess there aren’t many step-by-step photo tutorials so we will work on feathers….the number one request….

The winners…

  • Deonn (Quiltscapes)
  • Maggie Lou
  • Suzette German

Congratulations!  Please e-mail your address to me at lckennedy@hotmail.com and I will get those right out to you!

Happy Stitching and Doodling,

Lori
