I hope you had fun with yesterday’s tutorial Swirls and Twirls! (see the tutorial HERE). I received a few questions about the tutorial yesterday.
One reader asked about the spacing: The space between the two rows was one inch. That is the distance between the top of one row and the bottom of the other. I staggered the spirals in order that the loops would not touch, but would fill the space between the rows.
Another reader asked how to turn a corner… Space the spirals so that one spiral fills in the corner… Then use the tail of the spiral to move in the perpendicular direction.
Add the loops on top and bottom just as you would on a straight line.
I couldn’t stop swirling yesterday so I made a little quilt-for my teacup or for a vase.
If this cold keeps up…I may go through a lot of tea!
What are you doing to keep warm? Unless you are reading from Australia, New Zealand…where I know it’s an effort to cool off.
Hot or cold…hope you have time to stitch a Swirl or two!
