A Quick Doodle Challenge
Good Morning, Quilters!
A quick review of a doodle challenge we first tried almost two years ago….
Glue a piece of your favorite fabric onto a sheet of paper.
Use the lines as inspiration and create your own design. Continue some of the lines, echo other lines and mirror image some of the shapes.
This is a fun way to get your pen moving and enjoy your fabric scraps.
Work quickly–in other words, don’t think too much. Work intuitively.
If you have time, try a second fabric or stitch your design.
Better Quilting Through Doodling!
Happy Doodling!
Fare the well, fare the well…

Amazing idea! I’ve done that with a piece of NG magazine paper and I liked the results very much.
Never thought doing it with fabric…
Great Idea .. never thought of using fabric. Thanks!
This is one of the reasons I love your blog, Lori, the ideas you come up with! I’m like, huh, why didn’t I think of that, such a good idea. Thank you!
You are so fun. Thanks, Lori!
I recently stared following your blog. Love it! This is a great idea!
This is an idea I need to try! Like most “fabric collectors”, I have some amazing fabric with great lines and details and they’d be so much fun to draw! Thank you!
That’s a fun idea!
What a creative way to spark creativity! I really want to try this.
Just lovely, Lori. But what is that fabric, your favorite? – it is marvelous.
Kaffe Fasset. Yep–one of my favorites–but then again-arent they alll?
Kaffe Fasset–one of my many favorites!!
You said don’t think too much but I read, “Don’t drink too much.” Both good advice. Ha.
Lol!!
I ‘read’ the same thing!! I thought you were just being humorous, Lori. Good thing I read the comments this time to correct my misread. ????
