Good Morning, Quilters!
Last week, Faye and I attended the fabulous Wisconsin Quilt Expo held every year during the week after Labor Day. It is one of my favorite shows and this year was no exception!
Easy Machine Quilting
I taught two sessions of Easy Machine Quilting to large classrooms of enthusiastic quilters. My goal was to convince quilters to quilt their own quilts and to provide easy techniques and motifs to help them on their way.
I also try to remind everyone that quilts with personal touches become heirlooms–not perfect quilts.
New Friends
Faye and I made a lot of new friends this year! We are always delighted when quilters introduce themselves! We learned about their special projects like the Days For Girls project.
New Ideas
We also met award winning quilter, Lisa Geisfeldt who will be sharing a few of her designs for upcoming Tuesday Tutorials!
Shopping
And of course, we went shopping!
Couldn’t resist a stack of Heather Givan’s Jot fabric. (Windham Fabrics). I LOVE back-to-school supplies in any form!
As well as a few other notions to try.
I blame YOU for this shopping–I have to do product testing after all!
A Wisconsin Repast
On our way home, we stopped in the Wisconsin Dells for dinner at The Sand Trap Bar and Grill.
We sat outside, overlooking the golf course. The weather was perfect, the service was excellent and the cheese curds were one delicious!
A great way to celebrate another successful show!
