When I see beautiful pictures of ladies dressed in white, I always think about how they must have to work to get those white dresses clean after sitting on the ground! That being said, I do really like the Impressionist style of paintings. This photo, especially the background, reminds me of a place I kayak in Montana!

I love this painting. I have 4 daughters who resemble the young women in the scene. When I dropped my eldest off at college, I stopped on the way home to buy this print that I had seen while we were shopping. It was no longer at the store and I had to page through the store catalogs looking for the name of the painting and artist. I finally found it and ordered one. I had it framed and it has been hanging in my home ever since. I wanted my girls to recreate the pic in a photo, but they didn’t care to!

At first I resisted replying to your post, but then…..I will. If you know someone who is proficient with Photoshop on their computer, they can scan faces from your photos of the girls and superimpose them on a photo of the print. You could have your own personal print of them. I have done that with photos of our grands..Grandson is sitting on a lily pad at age 2, and granddaughter, age 3 is walking up a tree branch where leaves are dripping with raindrops and she is carrying an umbrella. But that
was years ago before quilting ! LOL

Have always loved this painting…includes a talent in painting fabric, which is a feature I love in painters.

I really look forward to Saturday and Sunday’s posts. They are calming. Thank you for thinking of us.

I love the Impressionists! Reminds me of Coastal Maine where the ocean breeze cools you on the hottest days.

Lovely ladies enjoying time at the beach, all dressed up and normal for that time period! Hope it was a cool day,
