I remember my “Aunt Elsie” wearing feed sack dresses, but the print was pretty flowers all over, not the advertising these have. Elsie was married to James, who was related to my Grandmother’s second husband. My Dad was born from her first husband, so we weren’t really related. But they had a full suburban lot next to their house, and they had chickens and a huge garden. Almost farmers, but not really. Eating a tomato fresh off the vine, as we sat in the shade, was better than candy.
