The angle and enlargement make it look like an umbrella for an elf. It makes me remember being a little kid and hiding under big plants or bushes during games of hide & seek.
Lori, are your pictures on Silent Sunday copyrighted? Is it alright to share them by email with friends and family? You are a great teacher and I thank you for sharing your incredible talent with us. Thank you.
Thank you very much for your sentimental ‘Silent Sunday Moments’ as well as the Art and Art History links.
I truly enjoy them all AND your excellent and much appreciated instructions for free motion quilting.
I agree with Patrica Evans with the different perspective comment, very appropriate because in life a good “shake-up” can often point we humans in a different direction; with no landmark, & flying by the seat of our pants which is scary, with sweaty hands & all. The exhilaration of an unknown course can cause us to question ourselves of why we are so content to coast through life, but eventually will help us diverge from the “same old same old” with a new perspective. (The dependable Daises are always the backbone of our cottage gardens along with Peonies & we love their popping up in new places throughout our gardens).

I had the same reaction… an umbrella and admiration for God’s designs…
