Being new to longarm quilting I have 2 very dumb questions…. Most tutorials show guide lines on the quilt when you are quilting…. When and how do you mark the quilt? once it’s on the frame? or prior to putting it on the frame??? 2. Quilts shown are Beautiful , but I can’t imagine sleeping under them with so much quilting. They would be , first to beautiful to use everyday and not soft the sleeper. Is there a guide line as to how much quilting to put on a quilt????
I usually mark small sections as I go. My favorite marking tool is chalk–which wipes away easily and wouldn’t stay put if I put it on too early.
As for how much quilting? Never too much! My quilts are heavily quilted and very soft! Read this post for more http://theinboxjaunt.com/2016/08/26/how-soft-are-your-quilts-open-line-friday/

He’s checking for eggs, I loved doing that, but the grown chickens needed to be out of the area!
