Looks like a peony to me, but predisposed I guess….my favorite !! Had 50 foot row of them in Illinois years ago..miss them. Tried in Georgia but they didn’t flourish even tho we had winter temps in 20’s. So I just am thankful for the forsythia, gardenias, azaleas, oleander, and climbing rose that have all done well this year. Magnolias and mimosas are in bloom now. Thank you Lord for making your world gorgeous for us. I’m still trying to love the looks of hippopotamuses (sp?) tho. 🙂 Hooray for Fiona, the premature hippo in Denver zoo , who is doing well now.
