Ohhh, I see sets of eyes…..Barn needs a quilt block…But then my husband says I think everything needs a quilt or quilt block…Uh, this photo is not beautiful to me but very intriguing with lots of unanswered questions… making me think. That is a good purpose for a photo…..make the viewer contemplate.

Dried Aster blooms?? Thistle pods?? I thought the background was a house but then I saw the second roof line and realized it was a barn. How cool… I agree with Marta — it needs a quilt block!

I like this picture. It’s a great study in balance, texture, depth and light. I would love to see this picture as inspiration in a quilt. (p.s. I’m pretty sure the flowers are Astrantia).

Funny – my family (past and present) are military with most in Intelligence. I quickly looked at the background and thought of a spaceship!!! You gotta laugh…..

LOLOL….My niece used to work ( engineer) on the shuttles…20 years ago. My guess is that a few of the flowers are clover blossoms.

Hi Lori, I really enjoy your blog. Yours is the first blog that I have joined and I am so glad that I did. I first heard of you through “The On-Line Magazine” from Australia. When I saw that you had a Craftsy class, I signed up immediately. That led me to your blog last month. I have since gone back and read your blog from day one. I have learned a great deal. Now I am in the process of starting to doodle, set up a notebook and going to do the mystery. Your instructions have helped me overcome the block that kept me from FMQ. Thanks so much.

Welcome Nicole! I laughed out loud to think you read the whole blog–I’ve never done that! Let me know if there’s anything I can do…and please, chime in…we love when everyone participates!

Can’t wait to see what you create!
