Your bittersweet is lovely,it was always one of my mothers’ favourites.
Question: I have a large SW quilt top finished & have to buy some batting.I have a 550QE Bernina which does a lovely job FMQ,but this quilt is so large was thinking a fairly thin batting. What would uou use?It will need to be totally washable.I think your FMQ shows a lot of practise & is totally gorgous, also appears very professional.Just
found your site 3 weeks ago & it is the first thing I check out daily. Also congratulations on your 1st grandchild. No feeling like it is there?Thank you,Shirley

Shirley, My favorite batting is wool batting–fully washable, quilts beautifully! So soft!

Thanks for your reply Lori but I have had bad experience with wool batting.Made 2 twin size quilts for the 2 newest of our great grandsons for this past Christmas & they bearded so badly we had to shave them with an actual safety razor. It was Legacy batting that I purchased at Nancy’s Notions.
I was thinking of silk batting, some of my quilting friends have had good results.

Bamboo, soft, light, quilts like a dream, never too hot, never too cool.
