Free Motion Quilted Baseballs

Good Morning, Quilters!

My sewing studio overlooks two 150 year old oak trees and as I was stitching away last week, I noticed a flash of red out of my window. The first red, red robin came bob-bob-bobbing along!  That means spring is truly here and warm weather can’t be far behind!

The other harbinger of spring–baseball! While my son no longer plays baseball…oh how I miss those days…I still can cheer for my two favorite teams–the Chicago Cubs and the  Minnesota Twins!

Learn how to machine quilt a baseball with the step-by-step tutorial HERE.

And then make a “Home Run Quilt” for YOUR favorite player or team!?

If YOU are a baseball fan, you might also like to know what Shoeless Joe Jackson and machine quilters have in common!

Joe Jackson was considered one of the early baseball greats but was expelled from baseball in his prime because of involvement in the Chicago Black Sox  gambling scandal. He was later acquitted. Read more at the Society for American Baseball.
