  • Thank you for introducing Herr de Blaas to me! I love this picture, and his other works. I hear the conversation something like this… ” Ach, I have a tear in my good shirt. Could you mend it for me?” “Oh, give it here, I will be happy to take care of that.” “May I watch?” “Oh, it’s really nothing at all.” “You are wonderful”. LOL I love his eyes, they say it all. Smitten he is. 🙂

  • What a lovely moment in time… he has captured the beauty of her soft curves and reminds us that being stick thin isn’t necessarily something to aspire to 🙂

    Awwwwwwwwwwww
Yeah, so romantical. I wonder if he is whispering sweet nothings in her ear, lol
I wonder if she is showing off her mad sewing skills.
    Wonderful colors

    Morning All,
Doesn’t this painting just make your heart pitter-patter as you remember “those first besotted days” of falling head first for some handsome man? It appears that de Blass was an eternal romantic.
    Thank you Lori.

Wooing or sewing, which will she choose? :))

  • Somehow I believe that the gentleman’s thoughts are far from sewing!!!!!!!!! Sweet picture!
