  • Trying to decide what the “hotties” on the left are doing – waving good bye or saluting the sewing machine. They hardly have sewn clothing on. Maybe the sewing machine has just landed (umbrellas?) and they are ecstatic that they will be able to wear real clothes. Hmmm. Well, whatever, Dali managed to get us to really look at the painting, no?

It could only be Dali. Who knew sewing was so surreal.

I never imagined that Dali painted the amazing sewing machine. He is revered in Slovakia where I taught MBA American Business courses in 1997. I didn’t see this painting over there, so I am sending on to my dearest Slovak friend, Norika. Thank you, Lori, for this, and all the ‘Seamstresses . . . ‘ you post for us.

This is certainly different than our usual “Seamstresses!”! I’m not sure what to make of it…

    Batman sews!

  • Whoa, Mama! That is something else! It is interesting and I think I like it. I love that you included this in your Seamstresses in Fine Art. I am so glad I discovered your blog.

    Interesting juxtaposition of unrelated objects!

  • How does one’s mind work like that. When I see your doodles I think you are lucky enough to be so creative and inventive.

    WOW. ….uh. wow.
I really do love many aspects of Dali.
    His technique is astounding.
