She probably should just switch hands and that thread would slip right through the eye of that needle. For years, I was so frustrated trying to thread a needle and then one day, viola, left hand and it zipped right through! Wonder if I was forced to use my right hand when I was a kid when I was reallllly a leftie!!!!
Dental floss threaders the hygienist uses to thread under the crowns have become my best friend. They do wonders helping me thread my long arm machine.
I forgot to put one part… I have found if I piece of solid color like a light green piece of paper behind the needle I have in hand it is easy to see the eye and never wet the thread wet the hole of the needle the thread jumps right in. it works for me.
Ditto, Ladies…I agree with your observations of her.. Picasso did great job of showing us that expression with so few brush strokes…I give her credit for seeking out the best lighting she had or did Pic Boy pose her there?
Oh Picasso is such a fun painter.
Well, the way I see this…. she has the presbyopia thing — but she is bound and determined to get that thread through the needle with out the magnifiers, or the aid of the children. Holding on to those last bits of independence 😀

Threading a needle is getting more and more difficult for me. Maybe we need larger needle eyes?! 🙂

Gertrude, I agree but when I am threading a needle these days I have a frown all over my face.

“I will get that thread through, if it’s the last thing I do!”
That’s how I see her expression. 😉
