      Upon further scrutiny, is that a quilt over her arm, with a label on that golden colored backing? And just outside our view of the scene, surely she has a lunch basket and her sewing basket. Not a wasted minute in her life.

        Because she is guiding her yarn over her right pinky, I assume the ball of yarn is at her feet in a basket or other container. I can’t imagine toting my baby Baby-Lock, baby Brother or midsize Viking out on a picnic!! LOL And do I see three needles? Maybe she is making lace? Love the blue color for painting the bodice. I will hush. I know nothing re knitting..!
