Wow! At first I thought it was a photo…the artist’s use of details and light & shadow is amazing.
Amazing artist, love her outfit. Such poise .
I love the Saturday posts, but this one is spectacular! Thank you for finding and sharing the artwork!
This is truly amazing!! I love the colors indoors versus the bleakness of winter outside. It truly gives you a winter-y feeling
Wow! I don’t know this painter, but his talent speaks loudly in this painting. The lady’s skirt is beautifully rendered. I want to own it … the skirt that is. And I wouldn’t mind owning the painting as well.
So peaceful ….
Lori, thank you so much for the way you format your Seamstresses in Fine Art posts. Including the title, artist, and links for more information is so helpful. I have become acquainted with so many artists I had never heard of before. Again, thank you.
I agree I too, thought at first the painting was a photo. Of course, I never met Mr. Knight, but without a doubt, he would NOT want to paint me in my sewing room! She looks as though she has just come home from church; I look like I have just come from the barn when I’m sewing!
Such a beautifully detailed painting – Iām definitely going to put my heels on next time Iām doing some hand work – maybe it will make me look elegant too šššš
