Rarely have I fallen in love with a painter and his paintings… I would love to have ALL of his paintings I saw on the walls of my home, except maybe the nudes… grandchildren, you know, are too young yet. I will do more research to see more of his work..IMHO his work is spectacular !! Thank you, Lori !
A reminder of when life was simpler and slower. Women had more time for exquisite handwork; something I don’t like doing myself but I genuinely admire and respect those who have the talent to create such beauty.
Absolutely gorgeous paintings, and the depictions of Italian life make me swoon for another trip to that indescribably beautiful country. Maybe next year, fingers crossed. I, too, checked out his other paintings, and even more on Flickr. He is one prolific painter. He was born the same year as I. Now I’m feeling I should have done more with my life … oh well, too late for that regret. Carry on. My legacy will be many many, many quilts.
Thank you Lori, again, for opening our eyes to another amazingly talented artist. With my husband now retired, if Seamstresses in Fine Art didn’t show up, I’d NEVER know what day of the week it was. Thanks for all these lovely paintings to grace our Saturdays.
