Very sweet subject of course A very neat and “clean” modern painting. Can’t tell for sure, but think it needs a “Singer” in gold on that machine. That looks like a 1950’S blouse to me ! Imagine choosing her at work for the subject of your painting…I like the blue spool of thread showing up!! I love this! Lydia reminds me of my mother. She resembles her in her posture at the machine, and in her hairstyle. Oh, and the apron, too. Mom worked outside the home as well as running a household. She was an amazing woman. I’m new to your blog and just wanted to let you know I love seeing and reading about the paintings. As an elementary teacher, I have enjoyed collecting books that involve quilting and sewing. Your are expanding my horizons and I thank you! So glad you are here! And glad you enjoy the “Seamstresses”! Be sure to join the conversation! Comments are closed.
