The artist makes me wish I was there.

reminds me of grandma on the porch when I was a kid. One of the best you’ve shown

What a beautiful scene! I love porches, verandas, decks, etc. but this looks like the perfect place to sit and stitch. It would be very relaxing … unless my thread knotted while stitching.

Ohhh nice. Very “modern” France has a lot of coast line. There are some amazing beaches there. When I was a kid, we vacationed in St Tropez. My parents were living in Brussels. One time I was with my brother and we were wandering around Montpellier and we heard a man with a very thick accent of something like Russian trying to speak english. He asked someone many times “where are the bitches?” . So funny. We were teenagers and laughing. funny memory
I love the colors of this painting. and the trees, and the porch. I can feel the breeze

Thank you so much for your Saturday focus, to me they are quite an inspiration, especially when my Saturday and/or sewing times are not as quiet. I also really enjoy reading about the artists.

  • So peaceful!

That’s exactly the way it looks when I do it…or the way I imagine it, anyway. And it FEELS great. Now if it would just quit raining.:)

    Well said…..

  • I love the softness, the gentleness of the post-impressionists and the peaceful feeling that their paintings bring to mind.
