    Isn’t it funny that what we all noticed is the brightness of the colors in this artist’s painting, whereas, most of the “masters” we see are rather dull and dim in comparison.

    This girl looks very Dutch to me.Von Bartels often stayed the summers on the Dutch coast in Katwijk aan Zee. This is very close to The Hague and Scheveningen. Nice picture of a typical Dutch fisherman girl.
